What is needed to create the best possible birth memory? A confident woman who is free to do whatever she wants to as labour progresses. To respond to what she feels. To have her pain but not to suffer. To be surrounded by family friends and professionals who know that she has within herself, the ability and wisdom to give birth. And an environment in which she feels safe.
